I didn't want to...
I love Lisa Kleypas and I love her Historical Romance novels and I was thrilled when I heard she was going to write contemporary novels. I didn't want to read this book because of the summary. It puts you off because it's nothing like what the back says. I didn't want to buy it and passed it in the isle like a bazillion times. At last my mom found a used book at the library at work and took it home. I read it.

Opinion:
Pointless... that's the first 200 pages of the book. She goes to much into Liberty's background and all the things she goes through for the 24 years of her life. If she'd cut it to a minimum it would have worked. Now the Hardy part. She makes Liberty too attached to him like she can't breath without him. It's sickening. He's a first class prick. I don't want to hate him but she makes me hate him. Now onto the title. Sugar Daddy. It's supposed to be that Liberty meats this old man who needs her help in taking care of him. Everyone thinks she is sleeping with him, even the oldest son and he loathes her. So the son when he finds out she's clean and pure seduces and falls in love her. Everything is peachy right? Wrong! Hardy comes back. Man this is worse than a frigging soup opera. Cage the love interest tells her not to sleep with him and he gives her time to sort out her feelings. Hardy proves to be an ass and Cage is the hunk with loads of money. I'd chose Cage too. So yeah misleading title, misleading summary and a really bad storyline.

Hey that's my opinion and I love this author. You don't like it ... MEH!

P.S.: Hardy has his own story in "Blue Eyed Devil". I hope she doesn't write his version of his 30 something years. I won't read it though.
